Students also explore operating system security concepts, user authentication, permissions, and common vulnerabilities found in systems.

The internship then introduces Ethical Hacking Basics and Security Tools, allowing learners to understand how attackers exploit systems and how security professionals identify vulnerabilities. Students work with industry-relevant tools for scanning, reconnaissance, password analysis, and vulnerability assessment while learning responsible and ethical security practices.

Next, learners dive into Web Security and Cyber Attacks, where they study common web vulnerabilities such as SQL Injection, Cross-Site Scripting (XSS), brute-force attacks, session hijacking, and phishing techniques. Alongside attack concepts, students also learn prevention techniques, secure authentication methods, and best practices for protecting web applications and user data.

Course Content

Module 1: Introduction to Cyber Security & Threat Landscape
This module builds the absolute foundation of cyber security. It introduces what cyber security actually means in real systems, not theory-level fluff. You will understand how data, systems, and networks are attacked in real-world environments and why security is a critical part of every digital system today. You will learn core principles like confidentiality, integrity, and availability (CIA triad), along with how attackers think and operate. The module also covers modern threat types, attack vectors, and basic defense awareness. This is not optional knowledge—it is the base layer for everything else in cyber security. Without this, everything ahead will be unclear or misunderstood. By the end of this module, you will be able to identify basic threats, understand attack behavior, and recognize insecure systems in real environments.

Module 2: Networking Fundamentals for Cyber Security
This module builds the core networking foundation required for cyber security work. Security without networking knowledge is useless because every attack, defense, and monitoring action happens over a network. You will learn how data moves between systems, how networks are structured, and how attackers exploit weak network configurations. This includes OSI model, IP addressing, ports, protocols, and packet-level understanding. You will also learn practical tools used in real security environments like ping, traceroute, nmap, and basic packet inspection concepts. By the end of this module, you will understand how systems communicate and how attackers target network layers.

Module 3: Operating Systems & Linux for Cyber Security
This module focuses on how operating systems actually behave under the hood and why Linux dominates cyber security work. If you don’t understand OS internals, file systems, permissions, and process control, you cannot secure anything properly. You will learn how Linux manages users, processes, memory, and files, and how attackers exploit misconfigurations in operating systems. This includes privilege escalation basics, file permissions, logs, and system monitoring. You will also work with real Linux commands used in penetration testing and security auditing environments. By the end, you will stop treating OS as “just a UI” and start seeing it as a controlled attack surface.

Module 4: Web Security, Vulnerabilities & Exploitation Basics
This module moves into real attack surface territory: web applications. Every modern system runs on web apps, APIs, dashboards, and cloud services, which makes this the most attacked layer in cyber security. You will learn how web requests work, how vulnerabilities appear in applications, and how attackers exploit weak input handling. This includes SQL injection, XSS, authentication flaws, and insecure session handling. You will also understand how browsers, servers, and databases interact—and where security breaks down. By the end of this module, you will be able to identify basic web vulnerabilities and understand how exploitation actually happens at a technical level.

Module 5: Real-World Cyber Security Project (SOC Monitoring & Threat Detection System)
This final module is a full-scale applied project that connects everything learned so far: networking, Linux, web security, and threat detection. You will build a Security Monitoring System concept (SOC-lite) that simulates how Security Operations Centers monitor attacks in real time. This is not a toy script. It is a structured system design project that mimics real industry security monitoring workflows. You will: Collect logs and events Detect suspicious activity patterns Flag potential attacks Generate security reports Simulate incident response This module forces you to think like a security analyst, not a coder.
